Patricia Ann Mizener of Cromwell passed away peacefully on Friday, the 14th of May, 2021.
Patricia was born on March 5th, 1938 in Middletown, CT to Kathleen O’Hare Rosa and Nicholas
C. Rosa. Patricia grew up in Middletown and went on to raise her family of three boys and
endless pets in Portland. After graduating high school from Middletown High, Patricia joined the Sisters of Maryknoll where she forged sisterhoods that ever remain. From there, Patricia attended St. Joseph’sCollege to earn her Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and biology. Patricia went on to become a school teacher at both St. John’s Catholic School in Middletown and Portland Junior High School, where she was loved by many peers and students. Also, for 20+ years she enjoyed working at St. Joseph's College as the director of publication. Patricia was creative from an early age. Throughout her life she displayed a love for art, poetry, and song and dance. Her passion became a career as she had her art displayed in several exhibitions. Patricia lived a long life full of love for her family and friends, and a passion for the arts. After her retirement she had the opportunity to travel, with her father, to her family’s hometowns of Melilli, Sicily and County Kerry, Ireland. This trip was never forgotten by Patricia, and it was well-documented for her
family to embrace. Her legacy is carried on by the artwork, poetry, photographs she left behind.
Patricia will be forever loved, remembered, and celebrated by her entire family. She is survived
by her three sons Ronald, and his wife Christina, James, William, and his wife Jennifer. In
addition, she leaves behind ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main St., Portland on Friday, May 21st from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
Margaret (Peggy) A. Kirsche passed away on May 25, 2021 following a brief illness. She was born Margaret Amelia Anderson on August 14, 1922 to Hilda A. Anderson (Hanson) and Arvid S. Anderson.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 72.5 years, Richard W. Kirsche Jr, her children, Karen L. Miller and Peter R. Kirsche, her parents, siblings Charles D. (Bud) and Louise M. Anderson, as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She leaves her daughter, Paula A. Brown, and her husband Craig, as well as her treasured grandchildren Garrett A. Miller & his wife Lindsey, Megan A. Forrest & her husband Kyle, and Rachel A. Brown, and great grandchildren Jacoby A. and Reagan G. Miller and Annika A. Forrest. In addition, she leaves sister-in-law Nancy Lenihan (Sean) and son-in-law Ronald A. Miller (Sue), as well as many nieces and nephews, all dear to her.
Margaret was a lifelong resident of Portland, CT, with a part time residence in Melbourne Beach, FL for many years. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Portland, CT and also active in Grace (now Advent) Lutheran Church (beachside) in Melbourne, FL.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. at the Swedish Cemetery, Portland. The Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main St, Portland, is in charge of arrangements.
